Playback And Fast Forward - 1986

In 1986, the music industry was expanding rapidly and the cassette revolution was in full swing. Piracy was widespread, and there was limited transparency in cassette production. Recording studios were also growing rapidly.

To address these challenges, Anil Chopra launched Playback and Fast Forward magazine to professionalize the music industry. The magazine provided valuable insights into cassette production, studio design, A&R (Artists and Repertoire), and music publishing.

Playback And Fast Forward - 1992

Playback revolutionised India's music industry by professionalising record label management and A&R. Playback pioneered recording studio design and professional recording techniques in India.

Playback provided technology and equipment sourcing for high-speed duplication of audio tape to Indian industry, helping build India as one of the largest manufacturers of recorded cassettes. Playback also provided advanced knowledge of optical media manufacturing to the Indian market.

In 1992, as the video revolution started, a new avatar of Playback was created under the title Studio Systems.

The Optical Disc Replicator Technical Seminar Series (ODRTS) was launched in 1999 by Studio Systems.
